Education Opportunities in the Diocese of Greensburg

Catholic Schools
The mission of Catholic schools within the Diocese of Greensburg is to create a Catholic Christian learning environment to prepare students for their life's journey. While parents are the first teachers, the task of our schools is to assist parents in fulfilling their responsibility as primary educators of their children. Schools challenge students to develop their spirituality based on Gospel values. Academic mastery, spirit of justice, and community service with a global perspective will give their lives passion and purpose.
Faith Formation
The Office for Faith Formation handles the catechetical effort for the diocese. Areas of interest include religious education, Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, Sacramental Marriage Preparation, and VLCFF – The Virtual Learning Community for Faith Formation, in partnership with University of Dayton. Here you will also find a link to our catechetical guidelines, "Taste and See: Catechesis as Food for the Journey."
Lay Ecclesial Ministry
The Office for Lay Ecclesial Ministry serves the diocesan mission by assisting in the education and formation of men and women for the work of ministry. Find information on Pathways, an opportunity for adult faith formation; certificate in pastoral ministry, in partnership with Seton Hill University; financial assistance for lay minister development; and more.
