| | How do I know if God is calling me to priesthood?
This is one of the most important questions to ask when addressing vocations and ministry.
However, it is also probably one of the most difficult to answer.
There are a couple of initial steps to take in discovering who God is calling you to be.
1) Take the time and make the effort to sit with God.
2) Trust that God will speak to you:
through the Word (Scripture)
through silence
through others
through your experiences
3) Fill yourself with knowledge of God:
read Scripture. (How has God spoken to others in the past?)
go to Mass (Daily if possible) - listen for the voice of God.
ask questions (of people who have said 'yes' to God).
talk with priests, men and women religious, married couples and single persons about doing
God's will.
4) Reflect upon your day, week, month, and year; looking back can help you better understand
where God may be leading you.
