Cathedrals's role to teach, sanctify, shepherd
The 34th anniversary of the consecration of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral by the late Cardinal John J. Krol, archbishop of Philadelphia, is Oct. 7. The Catholic Accent will carry a series of articles in upcoming issues about the cathedral: its role in the life of the diocesan church, beautiful architectural features and rich history that can be traced to the first days of the presidency of George Washington.
This week’s articles focus on the the history of the cathedral and the special Oct. 7 anniversary Mass.
