To hear and respond to God’s vocation for you,
you may want to take the time to:

1. Pray:

A. Ask the Lord to show you his will
B. Listen to God
C. The word of God (meditate on the word)
D. Listen to God
E. Ask the Lord for the courage to do his will

2. Celebrate the sacraments:
A. Attend Mass regularly (daily if possible) and be nourished by the word and Eucharist
B. Enter into the sacrament of penance regularly (celebrating the mercy and love of God)

3. Foster a devotion:
A. Make a holy hour before the Blessed Sacrament regularly
B. Pray the rosary, asking for the intercessions of Mary

4. Become involved in:
A. Sunday liturgy (as an extraordinary minister of holy Communion, lector, cantor, etc.)
B. Pastoral ministry (take Communion to the hospital or homebound)
C. Catechetics (teach religious education to children or youth)
D. Social Ministry (work with a food bank, St. Vincent de Paul Society, etc.)

5. Talk with:
A. A priest in your parish
B. A priest you find approachable
C. Men and women religious who have said 'yes' to God's call
D. Married couples about responding to God's call

F. A spiritual director to help you in the discernement process
G. A seminarian
