 Faith Finder Mobile App

Mobile app provides Diocese of Greensburg Mass times on the go

GREENSBURG — The Diocese of Greensburg introduces Faith Finder, a free mobile application developed by the diocesan Office of Information Technologies in conjunction with the Computer Science Department and CERMUSA (Center of Excellence for Remote and Medically Under-Served Area) at Saint Francis University, Loretto.

Available for download for iOS and Android devices, Faith Finder allows easy mobile access to Diocese of Greensburg information such as Mass times and a directory of parishes, as well as prayers and guides.

The app features a service locator, which allows users to locate Saturday evening and Sunday Masses within specific time frames and distance. There is also a directory of all 78 parishes in the diocese with each church’s address, weekend Mass schedule, contact information and distance from the user’s location. Within seconds, a user can find a Mass to attend anywhere in the four-county diocese, which covers Armstrong, Indiana, Fayette and Westmoreland counties.

In addition, the app serves as a quick way to look up prayers from the Our Father and Hail Mary to the diocesan Evangelization Prayer and Prayer for Religious Vocations. Guides such as how to make an examination of conscience are also at each user’s fingertips. Finally, the prayers and guides section also includes a list of the year’s holy days and whether they are holy days of obligation.

The app is currently a shared platform for information for the Diocese of Altoona- Johnstown and the Diocese of Greensburg. Users can select which diocese they would like to access upon opening the app.

Saint Francis University hopes to serve and partner with other Catholic dioceses across the state and country to provide Catholics with pertinent and helpful information via Faith Finder.

All of the information found in the app can still be found on any device with Internet access via the Diocese of Greensburg website.
