Bishop Connare Center

The Bishop William G. Connare Center is situated amidst expansive wooded grounds purchased by the Diocese of Greensburg in 1961.

Connare CenterUpon completion of renovation and additions, the former country estate was dedicated May 4, 1964, as St. Joseph Hall, a minor seminary. It was rededicated as an apostolic center in June 1971, and has served thousands of groups and individuals since that time. The name was changed to the Bishop Connare Center May 4, 2006, in honor of the second bishop of Greensburg, who served from 1960-87, and spearheaded its development.

Today the center offers lodgingmeeting rooms named for the four counties of the diocese, full service dining rooms, and a beautiful chapel. A gymnasium and outdoor grounds with walking trails and field space complete the setting.

The facilities are primarily interconnected, and offer comfort and convenience in all seasons. Ongoing renovations have kept the center up-to-date, including wireless Internet access, air conditioning, elevators and ramps that make nearly all areas fully accessible.

Events range from single-day meetings, social events and banquets, to multiple-day retreats and conferences. Housekeeping and food service are also provided.

The Neumann House, the diocesan home for retired priests, and a leased school building can also be found on the grounds.
