Training and Certification On-going Formation Level
Who is required to attend?
After successfully completing basic and permanent certification all teachers, all leaders in faith formation, who do not have training or education in a theological field, catechists, youth ministry volunteers, and RCIA team members are required to attain six hours of on-going formation every two years through a diocesan sponsored/approved conference or workshop.
Principals and assistant principals will have the option of fulfilling their on-going formation requirements by attending six hours of on-going formation every two years through a diocesan sponsored/approved conference or workshop.
Conferences & Workshops
The following is a listing of conferences that would qualify for the on-going formation requirement. Those that would like to attend a conference or workshop not listed, can discuss the content with the diocesan managing director of the Office for Evangelization and Faith Formation for a determination of fulfillment of the on-going formation requirement.
