Worship
The diocesan Office for Worship assists the bishop in his role as “chief steward of the mysteries of God and the overseer, promoter and guardian of the liturgical life of the church of Greensburg.”
In this capacity, the office is responsible for the preparation of diocesan liturgies, and assists the bishop in providing for the implementation of various norms, directives and guidelines pertaining to the rites of the church.
The office also serves as a resource to the parishes, priests, and people of the diocese. It provides assistance with formation of liturgical ministers, guidance in the building and renovation of churches and chapels, and offers periodic opportunities for update and renewal efforts among the people of the diocese.
Diocesan Worship Commission
"... Every diocese is to have a commission on the liturgy, under the direction of the bishop, for promoting the liturgical apostolate." ~ From Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy (par. 45).
