The executive director is responsible for legacy giving, and donor engagement in support of planned and legacy giving to support immediate and long-term needs of the Diocese. The executive director is responsible for Identifying and developing new stewardship opportunities and sources; coordinating the foundation’s financial investments and assets; and working to support the funding priorities of the Diocese to help ensure the sustainability of the Diocese, its parishes, schools and other Diocesan supported entities in the 4- county region.
Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the executive director will implement a comprehensive planned giving program that aligns with the diocesan mission and goals and contributes to significant endowment growth.
Qualified applicants must have a bachelor’s degree required; five years of experience in fundraising, preferably in planned giving and endowments; a strong understanding of estate planning, tax laws, and charitable giving vehicles; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport with diverse audiences; a proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and engage stakeholders at all levels; strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; proficiency in fundraising software and Microsoft Office Suite.
An advanced degree and experience in planning giving and endowments is preferred.
