Facilities Operations Manager

The Diocese of Greensburg seeks qualified applicants for the position of Facilities Operations Manager. The position works in the supervision and management of maintenance functions necessary to operate the physical plant, systems, and equipment for assigned diocesan facilities.
This is managerial work directing, organizing, analyzing, and monitoring a comprehensive maintenance program for diocesan facilities; specifically, the Pastoral Center, Christ Our Shepherd Center and adjacent facilities/properties.
This position directs and organizes all maintenance functions necessary to maintain facility operations and safety; and implements facility-related projects and initiatives. Work involves setting annual goals for functional areas; determining the timing, resources, and costs necessary to accomplish these goals; and implementing the goals. Work includes developing and overseeing the implementation of preventative and corrective maintenance schedules and safety programs; analyzing processes, systems, equipment, and labor utilization; and developing and implementing recommendations to maximize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality. Work may include serving as the point of contact for smaller or less complex capital projects and managing the contracting process for vendors. Work is performed independently under the general direction of an administrative supervisor for effectiveness of results.
Work involves supervising other employees engaged in facilities-related work.
Qualified applicants must have six years of experience performing skilled trades work in a professional environment, including four years of supervisory experience overseeing skilled trades work in a professional environment.
