The teacher should know of pedagogy including the principles, theories, methods, techniques, and strategies of middle school/secondary level Math. The candidate should be able to plan, organize, develop, and conduct a comprehensive teaching and instruction Math program. The candidate should provide appropriate and effective learning experiences for students with a variety of learning needs, differentiate for student’s cognitive abilities, and effectively assess Math content aligned with NCTM standards. The candidate should be passionate, consistent with classroom expectations, provide academic rigor, provide a motivating and stimulating learning environment for all students, and be a steward in the Catholic faith. We are looking for an individual who fosters collaboration, seeks professional development, works with the Math team, and continuously grows and reflects on their profession and instructional practices.
