Older Adult Service Coordinator – Catholic Charites of the Diocese of Greensburg seeks qualified applicants for a part time 15 hours per week position to coordinate volunteer services, provide referral assistance and resources according to agency policy and guidelines to assist older adults who contact Catholic Charities offices keeping with the mission of Catholic Charities and the Diocese of Greensburg.
The selected candidate will be expected to coordinate volunteers to provide services, interview older adult clients for the purpose of obtaining information upon which to provide adequate referral information and volunteer services Manage client referrals to and from the Information and Referral and Counseling Departments to ensure appropriate treatment and service. Complete appropriate follow-up procedures to determine the client was helped and maintain information within a database.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent personal communication skills including phone work, and daily interpersonal contacts; proficiency in using Microsoft Office products and related communications software and an ability to learn specialized software. Strong written communication skills, excellent organizational skills, and strong creative and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently, to prioritize and work with multiple departments. Previous experience in working with older adults to provide services. Full acceptance of and commitment to the teamwork concept and an understanding of the Catholic faith. Must have or obtain Act 33/34 clearances and must have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage.
