DECREE OF INDULGENCE FOR THE CATHEDRAL CHURCH
For increasing the religious practice of the faithful and for the salvation of souls,
I, The Most Reverend, Larry J. Kulick, JCL, by the power of the faculties granted to me by the Supreme Pontiff, Francis, Pope by Divine Providence, in the Bull, Spes non Confundit, and by the Apostolic Penitentiary, in consideration of the Jubilee Year of two thousand and twenty-five, from December twenty-ninth, two thousand and twenty-four until December twenty-eighth, two thousand and twenty-five, I hereby benevolently grant a Plenary Indulgence under the usual fulfilled conditions (Sacramental Confession, Eucharistic Communion, and prayer for the intentions of the Supreme Pontiff) to be obtained by all faithful Christians truly penitent, who present themselves at Blessed Sacrament Cathedral and the Jubilee Cross of Hope, in the Diocese of Greensburg, throughout this Jubilee Year.
Thus, the pilgrims of this Jubilee will be encouraged to transfer the supernatural virtues, especially of faith, hope and charity, more and more, into the action of their lives, and they will solidify their union with the Roman Pontiff, the visible foundation of the unity of the whole Catholic Church.
The present document will have validity for the duration of this ordinary Jubilee year, notwithstanding anything whatsoever to the contrary. Given in Greensburg, at Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, on the first day of December, The First Sunday of Advent, in the year of Our Lord 2024.
The Most Reverend Larry J. Kulick, JCL
Sixth Bishop of Greensburg
