Technology Support Specialist
Office of Information Technologies of The Diocese of Greensburg    

The position of Technology Support Specialist for the Office of Information Technologies is now open for applications.  


The person in this position, as a member of a support team, provides technical and consultative services to end users offering training, advice, technical solutions and guidance on mobile and desktop systems in a hybrid cloud environment.

Qualifications for this position include:


  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or related field.
  • A minimum of two-three years support and configuration experience in a networked technical support role.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to work under extreme demand while maintaining superb customer service skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and a team player.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7, 8, and 10, Office 365 & Apple OS X 10.11 and newer.
  • Experience with remote support tools.
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Must be able to intelligently interview end-users to determine appropriate system requirements, explain technical systems in an organized, understandable and meaningful way to end-users at all levels.
  • Experience working in a K-12 educational environment is a plus!   • The ideal candidate will have experience in all aspects of help desk support, computer set-up, desktop software installation/upgrades and maintenance, imaging, troubleshooting, printer (local and network) installation.
  • The incumbent will also assist network engineers, network analysts and IT security professionals in project implementations.
  • The technology support specialist will work in collaboration with all offices of the Diocese and will be responsible for keeping abreast of emerging technologies as they relate to new desktop and mobile computing.
  • The position will specify, order, receive and tag computer assets as well.

Christ Our Shepherd Center, Greensburg, PA  
Christ Our Shepherd Center is seeking a part-time custodian for retreat and conference center.  Responsibilities include cleaning, floor care, meeting room set-ups, customer services and some building and grounds maintenance tasks.  Ability to perform janitorial work, operate floor care equipment, and complete basic repairs is required.  Primarily late afternoon and evening hours averaging 20-25 hours per week with occasional substitution of daytime hours possible.
Qualification requirements include High School diploma or equivalent, ability to follow direction, and attention to detail.  Previous custodial experience a plus.

Banquet Server
Christ Our Shepherd Center, Greensburg, PA   
Christ Our Shepherd Center is seeking occasional part-time help to perform food and drink serving duties at dinners and special events. Other duties include event set up, event cleanup and general kitchen assistance.  

Qualification requirements include High School diploma or equivalent, excellent oral communication and listening skills, ability to follow directions, excellent customer service skills and attention to detail. Previous waitress, waiter or banquet server experience a plus.

Elementary School Business Manager
The Divine Redeemer School, Ford City, PA

Director of Catholic Schools

Applications are now being accepted for the position of Director of Catholic Schools for the Diocese of Pittsburgh.  Bishop David Zubik has established a restructured Secretariat for Catholic Education and Evangelization, with the goal of creating a new, innovative model for Catholic Education to better position the schools for the future in what has become an increasingly demanding educational environment.  The Director of Catholic Schools will report directly to the Secretary for Catholic Education and Evangelization and work collaboratively with the Director of Religious Identity and the Director of Religious Education.


This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative educator to transform the educational landscape for Catholic schools across the Diocese.  The Diocese is seeking a dynamic Catholic leader with the experience to partner with the leadership within the Secretariat for Catholic Education and Evangelization in reimagining excellence in our schools.  The Director of Catholic Schools will manage expectations and be accountable for the overall academic quality of the system.


Qualifications for the Director of Catholic Schools include:

  • A Master's degree in educational administration/school leadership/curriculum and instruction; 
  • a doctorate in education or related field preferred;
  • Minimum of 10 years of successful school leadership;
  • Contemporary knowledge of academics, including curriculum development, professional development and technology;
  • A clear vision of the mission of Catholic education and ability to articulate this vision;
  • Knowledge and understanding of the teachings of the Church, and the communion of the Church at the parish, diocesan, national and universal levels;
  • Understanding of current educational research, religious and secular curricula, cognitive theories and effective pedagogical techniques;
  • A commitment to academic excellence across all aspects of curriculum;
  • Track record of leading and effecting organizational change;
  • Data-driven including the ability to establish success metrics;
  • Relationship oriented leadership style with demonstrated ability to work with a variety of constituencies (principals, boards, priests, parents, etc.);
  • Demonstrated experience in developing strategic partnerships with universities, educational reform groups, educational organizations, etc.;
  • Practicing Catholic with a commitment to Catholic identity in schools.
