English Language Arts
The Diocese of Greensburg Language Arts curriculum is divided into three sections: Grammar, Reading (K-5), and Literature (6-12). Spelling, Phonics, Speaking and Listening Units are included in the Reading Curriculum Maps at the appropriate grade level.
Many topics span multiple grade levels to allow students to enhance their learning and increase their understanding of the content. The content becomes more complex and developed as the students progress.
These maps provide a listing of relevant standards, content, and skills for each grade level. Each course is designed to prepare students for subsequent grade levels.
The curriculum maps are developed to uphold our commitment to academic excellence while incorporating Catholic teachings and values.
