July 16-24, 2021
Summer of 2021 the youth of the Diocese of Greensburg will venture to Newark, NJ for a week long immersion experience in and around the city. Young people and their chaperones will do service work at Churches, schools, and through social service agencies throughout the area. The summer immersion experience will also include a Saturday and Sunday in New York city visiting the 911 memorial and museum, Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, as well as seeing two Broadway shows.

Accommodations will be at the St. JP II Youth Retreat Center in dorm style type rooms. Teens will be roomed with members from their own parish and others from the Diocese of Greensburg group. Housing at the JPII center will also be included during the two day New York City experience.
While we will be working hard serving others, we will also have time to relax around the pool, enjoy the game room, and sports facilities as well as spend two days in New York city enjoying two Broadway musicals, touring Ellis island and the Statue of Liberty as well as visiting the 911 Memorial and museum.
Depth of Relationship
Each day will begin with Mass before we head out to our work sites. Each evening will involve a prayer experience where we have the opportunity to grow in our own relationship with Christ.
The cost of the immersion experience is $375 per person and includes all housing, travel, week of service, NYC experience, food, t-shirts, backpack, water bottle, sweatshirt, and other swag. $300 of the cost is eligible for a Francis Fund Grant. A non-refundable deposit of $75 per person is due by April 19, 2021 to reserve a spot.
