The Diocese of Greensburg seeks qualified college students for the following paid internship position.
Primary Functions: The Web Intern will assist the IT Support Engineer & Web Developer with day-to-day operations of the diocesan Internet, Intranet and Extranet sites. This involves general knowledge of the WordPress CMS and SharePoint online. Content creation as well as audio and video creation and image editing using Adobe Creative Cloud suite of products is expected. These functions will include working with diocesan staff, i.e. IT Support Engineer & Web Developer, IT Team, clergy and parish personnel, Communications team, principals and school personnel.

Minimum Qualifications: The Web Intern should be a college student majoring in graphic design, computer science, web development or programming, or equivalent academic field. Must have demonstrated skills (samples required) as a writer as well as creative ability with knowledge and experience using M365. Some knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere is preferred.
Strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills are also needed along with the ability to learn and work with others in a team environment. The individual must be willing to travel for projects scheduled off campus; some of which may include irregular hours. An ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
Assist in creating and publishing content for our schools, parishes and employees on their respective websites and the diocesan Intranet and Extranet. This would include but not be limited to school and parish training documentation, diocesan policies (i.e. finance/human resources) and bulletin board items.
Assist in editing and proofreading of some diocesan site content, i.e. weekly Scripture Reflection material.
Assist in overseeing quality assurance on parish Web site projects, i.e. page development, editing and proofreading of content.
Work with the Information Technologies team to maintain the necessary security surrounding access to the Internet site and ensure adherence to diocesan policies concerning use and maintenance of the site.
Contact and collaborate with parishes throughout the diocese to develop content ideas and engage in marketing of site features.
Other duties as assigned.
This position is a full-time hourly internship position. Individual may use this internship towards credit at a college, university, or equivalent institution.
