The Diocese of Greensburg recognizes the impact that each teacher has on the development of a child and is excited to celebrate excellence in teaching in our Catholic schools by recognizing exceptional educators with a Golden Apple Award at the third annual A Celebration of Catholic Schools Breakfast on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Stratigos Banquet Centre in North Huntingdon.
Dr. Maureen Marsteller, superintendent of Catholic schools, will deliver a welcome and state of the schools address. Bishop Edward C. Malesic will serve as the keynote speaker, and attendees will be joined by special guest emcee, Mike Clark, WTAE-TV, Pittsburgh's Action News 4. All funds raised for A Celebration of Catholic Schools directly benefit our students, teachers and schools diocesan-wide.
This Award honors outstanding individuals who symbolize excellence in and out of the classroom, are committed to Catholic values and are devoted to teaching in the Catholic School system. Help us recognize outstanding educators by nominating a teacher today.
The Golden Apple Award will be given to a total of three teachers within the 13 schools of the Diocese of Greensburg. The award will consist of a beautiful engraved Golden Apple award and $5,000 for the awardee’s unrestricted personal use.
